beams, logs and scuppers



The frame of Bandicoot's cockpit roof looks like some sort of puzzle, but skinned in ply it looks so simple, I wonder what all the fuss was about...

    I'm working on a design for a similar structure for my big dory, Mistral. It's been giving me fits, because I'm not happy with the cockpit I designed in the first place. It's good to see your approach, helps with visualization.

    Haven't seen Mistral for a while. This one will be tricky to fit because of the asymmetry of the cabin back, I hope it goes on OK. Painting it now, so we'll soon see...
