making the things to make the thing is good

I made these little cast bronze and fabricated brass planes in the early 1990's each for a specific purpose in instrument making. I use them still, most days.
Wooden boats, bits of writing, making violins, passive solar design, making tools, reading, Belted Galloway cattle...what was the middle thing?

  2. I've come back to this photo and still wonder how you made these little planes and what you use them for. It would be great to see another post about these little beauties. What material have the blades been made from?

  3. Sorry to have missed this question PR. High speed steel (recycled from power hacksaw blades). Maybe I could do another post, but I may need reminding...
